A Chapter Closed, A New One Opened

For the last four and a half years I have had the opportunity to work at a wonderful dental office. I've been able to work along side some pretty incredible people, including my mom and sister Stephanie. When you work ten hour days you become really close to these people; you're there more then you are at home so they become your family away from home. We tried to have a Girl's Night once a month where we are able to get together and have fun outside of work. This one was unique because it was more of a goodbye party for those of us who are moving on to a new chapter in life. (I'm now at a different office as the office manager) Natalie Beckstrom hosted the party in her new home. It was really hard for me because I have become close to these girls and it was hard to know I won't see them every day now. I love all my friends and will miss you tons! Thanks for all the memories, I will never forget you.

Apricot Jam

I feel so blessed to be able to have the resources to get my food storage going. Lainee called me and said that she just picked all the apricots off Dennis' tree and she had pleanty for us to make jam. I've never made jam before but was really excited to learn; so for family night Garrett and I made 7 bottles of apricot jam. We worked together as a great team and are so proud of our efforts. It is really rewarding to see your hard efforts right in front of you, and it's an even better feeling seeing my pantry full.

Memorial Day @ Lake Powell

The time has come yet again for the annual Kendall family Lake Powell trip. My uncle Rick Adams lets the whole family come stay on their houseboat and always shows us a good time. This is the fifth year we have gone and we have more fun every year. This year was really exciting for us because my whole family was there. My dad doesn't usually come but this year he did and we were all so glad he came. He is always the fun of the crowd making us laugh. Everyone takes their turn on the wake board but it's always a treat when we bust the tubes out. We all pile on and have fun jumping back and forth or even trying to make pyramids. This year we all bought hats at the marina, we looked so cute in our matching hats. We love going to Lake Powell.

Sand Hollow

A few years ago Garrett's mom and step dad sold their cabin and in place of it bought a camp trailor and boat. We were really sad not to have the cabin anymore, but we have definitely gotten used to the boat! We love to go to the lake! We like to pack a pole, some yummy snacks and spend the afternoon at the late. There is nothing like being out on the water and forgetting the worries of the world.

A Moment Like This...

Four years ago today I was laying on the beach in Cancun with a group of girls while the boys were all out deep sea fishing. Everyone was saying "Well if he's going to do it, now would be the perfect time and today is our last day here." I told them I really didn't think it would happen because he didn't have a ring. I went back to my room with the girls to get ready for dinner and then went to Garrett's room - he wasn't there. (He was up at my parents room asking for my dad's blessing.) He told me that he had to call work. At dinner Garrett didn't eat much. My dad kept making jokes asking him if his tummy was upset or something. I asked him if we could go walk on the beach and watch the sunset since it was our last night there. We excused ourselves from dinner and went to the beach.
Throughout our relationship, Garrett would always ask me "Will you Marry Me?" and I would say "Yes." So when he asked me on the beach I said yes right away just like every other time. This time though, I looked down and saw him on his knee and the rock and I fell to my knees too. I didn't cry all I remember is I couldn't stop smiling or giggling. We went back to where everyone was getting ready for the show they had every night at the resort and everyone knew already! I was so excited. I couldn't wait to start the rest of my life with my best friend by my side.

I love you Garrett. Thank you for everything you do for me. You bring out the best in me and you love me even though I might not be the most graceful person you know. :)

Dreams do come true! ;)

On Tuesday Garrett called me to tell me that he was going to get to meet his girlfriend! We watch Dancing with the Stars every week and joke about how Julianne Hough is his girlfriend. He has a little crush on her. So he told me we were going to the concert, but that we were able to go meet her before and that he needed to take his own sharpie, something for her to sign and a camera!

So we got there early, waited in line and got to meet her and talk to her for a few minutes. We thought that it would just be a line and you would walk through and meet her. They had her in a room and however many people were in your group went in at a time. So just the two of us went in by ourselves and got to talk to her. She was very nice and Garrett couldn't stop smiling. We took a picture with both of us, and then after the concert Garrett said that he needed one with her by himself. So he waited in line and took one with her - and she remembered his name. He was so stoked! Good times.
