O-N-E box of corn, shuck, blanch, cold bath, cut, bag, freeze.
This is the second year we have put up corn for the winter and boy was it work. We spend a few hours hard at work, but after all was said and done it was worth it. Garrett shucked all the corn, I blanched it all and then we cut it off the cob together. We got 14 bags of corn and our freezer is officially ready for winter! It's so nice to be able to have yummy corn from the fruit stand all through the winter.

Family outing at the Lake
Yet another trip out to Sand Hollow to do some fishin!!!! This was a fun trip because we loaded up the entire family and headed to the lake. We love our nieces and nephews - oh, and the rest of the fam too! Garrett beat us all in the fishing competition though. His mom gave him a run for his money, but he was catching them left and right. Me - I caught myself one fish. I'm so grateful that we live close to our family and we are able to do things together as a family.

Let Freedom Ring
Not too many pictures of the 4th for us. Garrett went camping Friday night and ran out of water on his hike back so he had a little bit of heat stroke. Right when he got into town from Pinevalley he met the family at the Green Valley Pool for the tradition Lainee started for us last year. After a hot afternoon at the pool Garrett was ready to be home. We came home, took a nap, then headed over to my parents for the block BBQ. We ate and visited for a minute then Garrett had enough of the sun and heat and wanted to be home. We were fast asleep before the fireworks had even started.

Top of the world
We went four wheeling on Utah Hill on a Saturday night up to the TV towers. It was so cool because you could look one way and see all of St. George, then look another way and see Mesquite, you could even see the lights from Vegas. It's amazing how cold it can get from St. George all the way at the top of Utah Hill.

I haven't been up to Rainbow Bridge since I was a little girl. It was really neat to see. I didn't know but you aren't allowed to go up to it or underneath it because it's a very sacred thing to the Indian people. It's absolutely beautiful.
THE Sandhill
Doesn't look so big in the picture? It's HUGE! We climbed to the very top and practically burned our feet off to do it.

A Chapter Closed, A New One Opened

For the last four and a half years I have had the opportunity to work at a wonderful dental office. I've been able to work along side some pretty incredible people, including my mom and sister Stephanie. When you work ten hour days you become really close to these people; you're there more then you are at home so they become your family away from home. We tried to have a Girl's Night once a month where we are able to get together and have fun outside of work. This one was unique because it was more of a goodbye party for those of us who are moving on to a new chapter in life. (I'm now at a different office as the office manager) Natalie Beckstrom hosted the party in her new home. It was really hard for me because I have become close to these girls and it was hard to know I won't see them every day now. I love all my friends and will miss you tons! Thanks for all the memories, I will never forget you.
