Happy 25th Birthday Garrett!

Garrett didn't quite know what to think about his birthday this year. In fact, he was kinda freaking out about being HALFWAY to the big 50. So what better to celebrate then making a BIG deal about it. :) hehehe, what a good wife! So we had a BIG birthday breakfast, with LOTS of decorations (streamers, a sign out on the lawn, a sign on the front door, EVERYTHING said "halfway" over the hill), and a LOT of BLACK and things such as his cake that had a BIG headstone that says R.I.P. hehe, I'm terrible huh?

But it didn't turn out as bad as he thought it would. We had one of his best friends from his mission and his darling wife (Caid and Alicia) in town to celebrate with us. So we headed down to Vegas for some fun. We made a pit stop in Mesquite and played B-I-N-G-O! Then it was off to Vegas! Of course we didn't stop IN Vegas right away, we had to go straight to the mens playhouse a.k.a. the Bass Pro Shops! After the boys had their fun walking around and drooling over everything they want or should I say NEED, the girls said it was time to shop. So we went to the Forum Shops and ate at Planet Holleywood and then went to Circus Circus and played all the arcade games like skiiball and darts. It was fun. We always have such a good time with Caid and Alicia. I was really nervous when they first came to stay with us and thought we would have to spend the whole time entertaining them, but we turned out to be twins seperated at birth, so now we absolutely can't wait till they come to see us! Then Sunday we had the whole family over to have some more laughs at my "OLD" husband! Happy birthday honey! You're still young to me, but we will have many more years to come!

Happy Pioneer Day for Utah!

We seem to be turning into quite the little Lake Rats this summer. Which I don't mind at all! Anyway, we went out to the lake for the 24th and had a blast. It was just Garrett and his friend Collin and ME! :) I was all business - being the flag girl, sitting on one side of the boat with the fat sacks while someone was boarding to help the wake be bigger, then pulling in the rope and tossing it out while still holding the flag. Anyway, I guess the new cool thing to do is to surf behind the boat and you don't have to use the rope because of the current you keep going. Well this little missy was a first timer on the surfing so I still used the rope. Here are some sad looking pictures, I'm no pro, but here ya go...
P.S. The life jacket was for the dude's so it's quite huge on me!
Going........going......

Powell Again! Yee-haw!

Powell is seriously Heaven on Earth! We love it and it always goes by too fast! We have been a few times this summer and hope to go again soon! :)

We went on our 4th Annual Family Lake Powell Trip!
My uncle Rick is kind enough to let the whole crazy family aboard his houseboat each year for good family fun! We have a blast and especially get wild on the tubes! All my pics from the tubes didn't turn out well because my battery was dying but as soon as Jess gets me hers I'll put them on here. You've gotta see it to believe it!

See what my camera does when it starts to die? Also it's a cheap one I take to the lake so there are like no light setting on it. Oh well.

Cookie Jar! The place I learned to wakeboard a few years ago. We go there every year and get in some good tubing. More pics to come......

Two lake dirtbags with nasty lake hair. Aren't we hot!

Happy 4th!

This 4th me and Garr went swimming out at Green Valley with Garretts brother and sister and their families. It was a blast. Stupid me forgot my camera so sorry for no pics of that. (Lainee or Bradi, if you have any - I need them for my scrapbook! I have the cutest paper I have to use!)

Anyway, it was so fun to hang out with the fam and to play with our nieces and nephews. They are the cutest kids ever and I can't wait till we have kids of our own to play with them.

After our long day at the pool - we both got fried! We came home and took a long nap then decided around 8:00 p.m. we were hungry so went to Outback to eat, then drove up on formaster and watched the fireworks. This was a bad picture taking day for me! I need a new camera in a bad way.

"Picture Blog" ha! ha! ha!

So here is my tribute to "being a kid again" post. It's all about PICTURES! Here is a small update of my life in the last month. It's been a crazy busy month, and it's been filled with lots of love, fun, happy, strengthening, and sad moments. Here ya go!!!!

I work at American Eagle for about 10 hours a week so I can "support my shopping habbit" and I was ringing someone up when a girl from Bloomers brought me flowers. I knew the girl because she delivers to the dental office for us. (We give all our patients roses) anyway, she said "These are for YOU today!" How cool is my husband. We didn't even get in an arguement before or anything. It was totally JUST BECAUSE!

My cute friend Treo had her baby! I threw her a baby shower with all the girls from the dental office. She got a ton of cute stuff. Made me get a little baby hungry. hehehe. (No, not an announcement.)

My cousin Quinn got married and we went to the Hogle Zoo. My FAVORITE is the giraffe's.

Gavin and Lainee blessed their beautiful baby girl. Preston walked home with Jacob and this was a cute "candid" moment I thought I would capture.

Garr's mom has a boat and we went out for a little afternoon on the water and some fishin'

We had our friends over for a BBQ and Garrett put on my apron so he didn't get watermelon on his new shirt. Isn't my little Betty Crocker cute!

Sad times. My family dog of 10 years had to be put to rest due to old age. His body was shutting down so we had to say goodbye. This was such a hard thing to do. Those of you who have ever had a family dog would understand. The hardest thing was leaving my parents house and knowing he wouldn't run to the door next time I go over there. Thank you to my friend who watched over and protected me. (When I had my surgery in 2004, I wasn't able to sit up on my own because they had cut through all my muscle and broken my entire rib cage, he sat outside my room the whole time. It's amazing the scences dogs have.)

Yet another 5K! This time it was at midnight! We wore glow in the dark necklaces and bracelets. The pictures of us didn't turn out because the glow left a streak up our faces. So here is me at the finish line. They are taking my tag off so they could get my time.

There ya go! Lot's of good times!

Girls Weekend

Last weekend we had a little bit of a girls weekend. My Aunt Trish came into town from New Mexico to vist as well as go to my Aunt Linda's wedding. So Thursday night we had my family over for dinner at our house and the boys had to go outside because well...there was just a little to much WOMAN going on inside. haha. So here is a pic of us girls. Yes, I look like a slob, I had been cooking all day.

Saturday morning we drove up for the wedding and had to stop in Bevar to get a snack and so the two "old ladies" in our car could walk around. (hehehe Love you mom and Trish)

I'm no pro, but my aunt asked me to take some pics at the wedding. It was so fun! I don't have a way nice camera and I haven't learned photo shop or anything, but here is a fun pic we took of me and my sisters! Love my girls!

Here's my mom's family! 8 children! (one of which didn't come) My grandma is full Japanese -she's the short one next to the bride! ;)

P-O-W-E-L-L Baby!!!!!!

We went out to Lake Powell over Memorial Day weekend and had a BLAST! Normally when we go we have fun on the houseboat, play games, hop in the boat and cruise around with a wakeboarder on the back. This trip was a little different. The water was FREEZING!
We barely dipped our toes in without it taking our breath away.
But it was fun because we were able to do something we don't do very often - SEE Lake Powell.

We went for a boat ride the first day up the channel and down some place that I thought was absolutely gorgeous. Little did I know I was in for a surprise the next day. We went up Cathedral Canyon - it is officially my new favorite place! It was BEAUTIFUL! We drove as far as we could, but it was soooo cool because you would go down this narrow part and think it was going to end and then another opening! Oh LOVE IT!

I don't know if you can see in this last picture -but I ended up being a total raccoon!
Thanks Jess and Derek for inviting us. You're the best and we had fun! Love ya!
